Technical Bulletin - January 2026: Table Mapping and Table Status with older APOS Terminals

2 min. readlast update: 01.15.2026

This Tech Bulletin is in regards to the features of Table Mapping and Table Status introduced into the new Database Version release 17, which involves GoPOS version A250813 and PCProg version 1.1.0.0.

Table Mapping and Table Status can be used with the following APOS terminals:

  • APOS-04
  • APOS-05L
  • APOS-05

After extensive development testing with various APOS terminals with several hardware revisions and versions, Optima is recommending that if Table Mapping and Table Status are to be used in a hospitality environment such as a sit-down restaurant, it is advised that they are to be used with the following APOS terminals running hardware with the following minimum requirements:

  • APOS-04
    • Android 8.1
    • Android 12
  • APOS-05
    • Android 12

These requirements are to ensure maximum performance and reliability in these specific environments that are highly dynamic and demanding.

The following APOS models have been tested with Table Mapping and Table Statuses, but had significant performance limitations and delays using the new features:

  • APOS-04
    • Android 7.1
  • APOS-05L
    • Android 7.1
  • APOS-05
    • Android 7.1

Optima stresses that the performance limitations encountered are not reflective on the Optima GoPOS software or Android operating system, but rather on the hardware built within the APOS terminals, which are the CPU and RAM.

If you are using Table Mapping and Table Status in APOS terminals running older hardware using Android 7, please be advised that there will be a slow down in performance and delays in the table statuses when using the features. Please use at your own risk.
