If you are upgrading GoPOS using the Upgrade function in the Home Screen of the GoPOS software, only for it to fail for any reason, there is a secondary method on upgrading the GoPOS software.
On the APOS terminal, we will need to go to the Android Settings. To access the Android Settings, perform the following:
In GoPOS, log in as Manager. Then from Register Mode, tap on the Home Icon, and then while in the Home Screen, go to Menu > Settings > Android Desktop. Then swipe up on the desktop near the bottom centre of the screen, just above the circle button on the navigation bar to reveal the Launcher 3 apps grid.
NOTE: If you are upgrading GoPOS from a version older than version A230909, and you need to access the Android Desktop, perform the following steps:
Home Screen > Menu > Android Bars > Square Button > Square Button again. Then from the bottom centre of the screen just above the circle button on the navigation bar, swipe up to reveal the full apps grid of Launcher 3.
From here (depending on the APOS model and version of Android you're running), tap the File Manager1 (blue square with white circle icon) or Files2 (blue folder icon) or Explorer3 icon (yellow clapperboard with white gear icon).
1If you chose File Manager (blue square with white circle icon), you will need to select the "hamburger" menu icon at the top left, then select the USB drive. Next, select the All folder and you will be in the root folder of your USB drive. You can then navigate through the folder and then select the GoPOS APK file.
2If you choose Files (blue folder icon), on the left side of the screen, select your USB drive. Navigate to the GoPOS APK file in the USB root, and then select the APK file.
3If you choose Explorer (yellow clapperboard with white gear icon), navigate to your USB drive by selecting it, and then you will be in the root folder of the USB drive where you can then navigate through it and select the GoPOS APK file.
Follow the instructions shown in the upgrade/installation process of the GoPOS APK file. Once completed, select Done to close the window or Open to start the GoPOS app.
